Some websites you may use require the use of a certificate, such as an ECA certificate - which is a digital certificate issued by a DoD-approved External Certification Authority (for example, IdenTrust). These certificates can be used in CMMC Space. In order to use one, you first need to upload the certificate into the environment. You can see our Uploading and Downloading guide if you need assistance.
Once you've uploaded your certificate into CMMC Space, select the settings Customize and Control Google Chrome menu, identified by three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner of your CMMC Space Managed Browser. From here, find and select Settings.
Once the Settings window appears, select Privacy and security. Then, find Security. Now, scroll down until you see Manage certificates.
A new window will appear. Find and select the Import button. The Linux file explorer will appear, and you can select and import the certificate you would like to use. You may be prompted to enter the password for this certificate when you install it.
Be sure you are logged into the Chrome Browser itself before installing the certificate, as they are tied to your persistent profile in Chrome. If you have any issues, please open a support ticket and we'll be happy to help.
